Speaking about a roadmap for the City, with the City Minister and TheCityUK in Manchester
In Manchester at the Conservative Party Conference I spoke at four public events on the conference fringe.
The first was at 9am on the Monday at Conservative Home’s event that was held in partnership with TheCityUK.
I spoke alongside the City Minister John Glen, the chief executive of TheCityUK Miles Celic and former politician and now an expert on the financial sector at KPMG Kay Swinburne. The four of us spoke on ‘Financial & Related Professional Services: A Roadmap for Economic Recovery’ and the 75 minute discussion, as well as taking place in front of a packed conference tent was also beamed live and can still be seen here - https://lnkd.in/dTCy_brc
The evening before, on the Sunday, I was one of four guests, along with three Conservative MPs, two of whom are on the Treasury Select Committee and one who heads up the APPG on wholesale markets, to a dinner hosted by EY and chaired by TheCityUK and with the Corportion of London and leading representatives from international financial institutions in the City.
